C.V.
As a scholar of visual and narrative materials, my research often takes interdisciplinary directions. I am interested in the intersections between word and image in the graphic narratives of the world and in their evolution through time. Mainly, I study Japan, Latin America, and Anglo-America and their respective visual cultures, such as comics and video games. In my dissertation-length work, I connect these cultures through an international exploration of women’s comics cultures.
